When You Get Your Pet
| When
you get your cat, make sure that all the nesserary things are all set up in your
house.  I mean the litter box has fresh litter. (I recomend leaving the top off for
kittens, it might be hard for the kittens to get into the litter box.)  Then you
should put the water and food in the room that the family in in the most.  Also have
a few toys, not small ones.  For the saftey of your feline, leave he or she in one
room for a few days beacuase they have to get used to you and the enviroment.  You
will also like to get to the nearest vet to get them checked out for flea's, diesease,
worms and other things that the doctor can tell you.  When you are leaving the cat
over night, make sure that you leave a little lamp on so they can see their way
around.  They can see in the dark well, but it will be a lot better for the cat to
feel comfortable.  Make sure that there are no wires around for the cat to
chew.  Keep all small toys in a place that the cats can not get into.  Also, you
might want to get the kitten declawed.  Only if they are an inside kitten.  If
they are both inside and outside, you want them to have their claws so they can climb and
firght their prey.   The best time to get them declawed is when they are five or six
months. I hope that you enjoy your new family member! |
